We took a cab downtown and the first we did was to find a restaurant and have ourselves a real American lunch – hamburger. They do know how to make good meat in the US.

Then we found an internet café where I started looking for a hotel and a rental car.

The car was easy – we got a red Ford Mustang convertible from Avis which we went to pick up a bit later.

The hotel was worse. Almost all the rooms were taken, and they all ranged from 200 dollars and upwards. Several of the ones I called did not accept children as they had “optional clothing at the pool”. In the end I just gave up the whole internet thing and decided to pick up the car first.

We then drove around a bit, and I finally found a motel within
walking distance from the centre of town.
It was a standard room with two beds and a small bathroom
with shower.
All we needed for the night.
