The 500 kroner note is of Sigrid Undset (1882-1949), Norwegian author
who won the Nobel Prize in literature in 1928.
The background motives are needlework.
The wreath on the back is to symbolize the first book, Kransen,
in her trilogy about Kristin Lavrandsdatter.
